Since the start of the Streetscape Project in early 2023, business owners in Downtown Brighton have felt the impact. The construction has caused some to experience a decrease in foot traffic and sales.
In response, Lake Trust and the Lake Trust Foundation partnered with the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce and the Brighton Downtown Development Authority to create the Downtown Brighton Small Business Relief Fund to support downtown shops and restaurants. This program aims to encourage the Livingston County community to donate, shop, and dine at downtown Brighton businesses as highlighted on this map.
During the upcoming program, Lake Trust will share messaging through emails, digital and print signage, on their social media, and more.
