Home to the University of Michigan, the city of Ann Arbor pairs metropolitan luxuries with a walkable college town. Ann Arbor is the county seat of Washtenaw County.
Just east of Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti is the second-largest community within Washtenaw County. VA Ann Arbor Health System (VAAAHS) The VAAAHS provides high-quality, cost-effective care to more than 68,000 veterans in the Ann Arbor region. Affiliated with the University of Michigan School of Medicine, all VAAAHS physicians hold joint faculty appointments at the University. There are more than 400 active research protocols at any given time. VAAAHS maintains a Health Services Research and Development Center of Innovation, and a Geriatric Research, Education, and Clinical Center.
