The Blue Ocean Student Entrepreneur Pitch Competition is the largest and most prestigious international, virtual pitch competition in the world specifically for high school students. Students or teams (of up to five students) submit a video pitch of an idea. Winners can earn up to $1,000 in prize money.
The program is managed by Ted Dacko, an entrepreneur and University of Michigan professor. He also partners with Ann Arbor SPARK as an entrepreneur consultant and teacher during Entrepreneur Boot Camp.
“We already have hundreds of registrations from 22 different countries,” said Ted Dacko, executive director of the program. “Pitches range from three to five minutes and will be judged by professional seasoned entrepreneurs,” Dacko added.
The competition is affiliated with the authors of the best-selling business books Blue Ocean Strategy and Blue Ocean Shift which are often required reading in college business or entrepreneurial programs.
Pitches must be submitted by January 17, 2020, and winners will be announced in late March or early April.
