Visit booth #AV718 to meet mobility innovators, explore emerging technologies, and discover why the Ann Arbor region is a hub for automotive innovation
What does the next generation of mobility look like? From technology that anticipates vehicle movement to AI-powered tools transforming how vehicles and products are developed, Ann Arbor SPARK will showcase four innovative companies offering a glimpse into the future of mobility at Vehicle Tech Week North America, October 27–29, 2026, at the Vibe Credit Union Showplace in Novi, Michigan.
At booth #AV718, Ann Arbor SPARK will showcase Motion Sync, Retrospect Technology, Mbility Inc., and Satori XR USA Inc., highlighting technologies that address real-world challenges across the automotive and transportation industries. Attendees can meet the innovators behind these solutions, learn how their technologies work, and explore opportunities for collaboration, testing, and commercialization.
The booth will also highlight the resources and partnerships that make the Ann Arbor region an ideal place to launch, scale, and grow a mobility business. Representatives from the American Center for Mobility (ACM), a leading automotive and mobility testing facility in Ypsilanti Township, are also expected to join SPARK during the event to share information about the region’s testing and validation capabilities.
“There’s a tremendous amount of mobility innovation happening in our region, and much of it is coming from smaller companies developing solutions to very specific industry challenges,” said Janis Seabolt, director of mobility programs at Ann Arbor SPARK. “What’s exciting about this group is how different their technologies are. And beyond showcasing what they’re building, we want people to understand why the Ann Arbor region is such a strong place to build a mobility business. We have the research, talent, testing infrastructure, and industry connections to help companies turn great ideas into commercial opportunities.”
Four Companies, Four Approaches to Mobility Innovation
Visitors to SPARK’s booth will have the opportunity to meet the teams and explore technologies with applications across the mobility industry:
- Motion Sync | Making the Ride More Comfortable
What if your vehicle could help prevent motion sickness before it starts? Motion Sync, a University of Michigan-born startup, is developing predictive passenger-comfort technology that anticipates vehicle movements and delivers subtle physical cues to help passengers prepare for turns, braking, and acceleration. Visitors can learn about its PREACT technology and how it could improve the passenger experience in conventional, electric, and autonomous vehicles. Learn more at www.msync.ai. - Retrospect Technology | Building Confidence in Autonomous Vehicle Safety
How can developers better understand the risks associated with automated driving? Retrospect Technology is tackling that question with RiskEngine™, a physics-based risk analysis technology designed to evaluate vehicle behavior and support safety validation. Attendees can explore how its approach helps developers assess complex driving scenarios and strengthen the safety of autonomous vehicles and advanced driver-assistance systems. Learn more at www.retrospectav.com. - Mbility Inc. | Bringing Greater Intelligence to Logistics
From tracking valuable equipment to improving the movement of goods, Mbility is using AI and connected technologies to address logistics challenges. Its MbiliTech™ platform combines NASA-licensed RFID technology, real-time tracking, and predictive analytics to improve operational visibility and decision-making. Visitors can discover how these capabilities apply to transportation, manufacturing, and supply chain operations. Learn more at www.mbility.co. - Satori XR USA Inc. | Making Complex Technology Easier to Experience
Imagine exploring a complex automotive system in an interactive 3D environment rather than relying on static diagrams or presentations. Satori XR develops AI-powered immersive experiences that help organizations visualize products, communicate technical concepts, and deliver training. Attendees can learn how interactive digital environments can support automotive product development, demonstrations, and workforce training. Learn more at www.satorixr.ai.
A Region Where Mobility Companies Can Launch, Scale, and Grow
The technologies on display reflect the breadth of mobility innovation taking place throughout the Greater Ann Arbor region. Home to more than 200 mobility companies employing over 20,000 people, Washtenaw County brings together automotive research and development, engineering talent, university research, and a growing network of startups.
The region’s assets include the University of Michigan, Mcity, the American Center for Mobility, the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute, and Washtenaw Community College’s Advanced Transportation Center. These resources, combined with proximity to Michigan’s automotive industry, create an environment where emerging technologies can be developed, tested, and connected to commercial opportunities.
For companies looking to establish or expand their presence in the mobility industry, the Ann Arbor region offers access to research institutions, specialized facilities, technical talent, and an established network of automotive manufacturers, suppliers, and innovators. Ann Arbor SPARK helps businesses navigate these opportunities, connecting startups and established companies with the people, resources, and partnerships they need to grow.
Connect with Ann Arbor SPARK at Vehicle Tech Week
Attendees are invited to visit booth #AV718, October 27–29, to meet the participating companies, discover emerging technologies, and connect with Ann Arbor SPARK about opportunities to launch, expand, or grow a business in the region.
SPARK and the exhibiting companies have also been invited to participate in “Startup Power Hour: Innovation in Action,” a panel discussion scheduled for Wednesday, October 28, from 3:15–4:15 p.m. The session will provide an additional opportunity to hear perspectives from emerging mobility companies on innovation and bringing new technologies to market.
