Updated and Enhanced Mobile App Now Available for Ann Arbor SPARK’s A2 Tech Trek
JUNE 13, 2017 — ANN ARBOR, MICH. — Ann Arbor SPARK and Arbormoon Software Inc. today released the A2 Tech Trek app, “Ann Arbor Tech” to accompany the A2 Tech Trek event on June 16. Available for both iOS and Android, the app adds another layer of “tech” to the Tech Trek with state-of-the-art features highlighted by automated check-in via beacon technology. The app also integrates with Ann Arbor SPARK’s recently revamped TrueJob online Job Portal to show Tech Trek participants which participating companies have job openings.
“We’re thrilled to have expanded the A2 Tech Trek app this year to include new features and an improved user experience,” said Donna Doleman, Ann Arbor SPARK senior vice president, marketing and communications. “Every aspect of this year’s A2 Tech Trek builds on our prior years successes and reflects feedback from both participants and companies. The A2 Tech Trek app is designed to create a deeper level of participation and information, adding a new dimension of both fun and functionality to your experience.”
Participants on the A2 Tech Trek will be automatically checked in when they arrive at any of the participating locations. Other features in the app include a directory of participating companies, the ability for participants to designate favorites, view all of the venues on a virtual map of Ann Arbor, and easily see which places they’ve gone and which they have yet to visit.
Tech Trek, a free community event, features downtown Ann Arbor’s technology companies and organizations. Each participant is hosting open house that shows off their innovations, and many participants are offering giveaways, refreshments, and interactive experiences. Ann Arbor SPARK, with support from the Ann Arbor/ Ypsilanti SmartZone (LDFA), is hosting the A2 Tech Trek.
