Get to know Eastern Michigan University President, Dr. James M. Smith, during his sit down with our president and CEO, Paul Krutko.
President Smith talks in depth about his background and what led him to Michigan. He’s been at the university since July 2016, and with his fresh perspective, he talks about his top priorities and initiatives. He speaks about the close relationship EMU has with Washtenaw Community College and the benefits of having such a close-knit community within the campuses. With the American Center for Mobility in EMU’s backyard, Dr. Smith provides us with his thoughts on the project and Eastern’s potential role. To close, Dr. Smith speaks to why the opportunity at EMU was so appealing to him and how excited he is to be a part of the Washtenaw area community.
