Estimating software effort is hard. Every software engineer has given a wrong estimate in the past and felt the pain that goes along with it. In this session we’ll go over how to make better estimates, why estimating is hard, and how to communicate about estimates.

Alex is a Senior Software Engineer at Integral with 7 years of experience. Lately he’s been working with Node.js, Typescript, React, and PostgreSQL. In the past he’s worked with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Sitecore, C#, Typescript, and Knockout. He’s a promoter of writing quality code and reducing technical debt using testing. In his free time he’s lately been using 3D printing, mechanical engineering, electronics, 3D modeling, and software to make a virtual reality locomotion peripheral.
