We will hear from Alfredo Hernandez, director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at the Michigan Department of Civil Rights and Alex Gossage, executive director for the Ann Arbor Center for Independent Living.  The MDCR’s primary purpose is to investigate complaints of discrimination in employment, education, housing, public accommodation, law enforcement and public service.  The alleged discrimination must be based on religion, race, color, national origin, arrest record, genetic information, sex, age, height, weight, marital status or disability.

To learn and hear more about advancing DEI in your business, and how inequities exist in certain industry populations, please join us on Monday, November 14 at 1:00 pm.

This DEI Series is in partnership with Destination Ann Arbor and United Way of Washtenaw County.  Thank you to our community sponsors: KeyBank and Trinity Health St Joseph Ann Arbor; event sponsor True Community Credit Union and food sponsor Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority.
