Mobility Thought Leader, Sahar Shirazi will offer the Keynote at a2Tech360 Mobility Summit

Ann Arbor, Michigan, September 16, 2021 – Policy and planning thought leader Sahar Shirazi, principal of NelsonNygaard Consulting Associates, will present the keynote speech at the fourth annual Mobility Summit on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. As a part of a2Tech360, the Mobility Summit serves as a gathering platform for visionaries and entrepreneurs from across the globe to discuss the future of mobility as a rapidly evolving industry. This year’s theme is Restructuring Mobility Investment. 

Shirazi’s extensive background draws from diverse sectors of the public policy arena, from transportation, land use, environment, housing, economic development, public health, and equity. In addition to her role at NelsonNygaard Consulting, Shirazi was appointed planning commissioner in Oakland, Ca. where she currently resides, and also teaches as an adjunct professor at Mills College. 

Prior to her work at Nelson/Nygaard, Shirazi worked in several key leadership positions. She served as planning and policy lead for emerging mobility at WSP, senior planning advisor in the office of California Governor Jerry Brown, policy analyst for the Office of the Secretary at USDOT, and as policy lead at the Office of Management and Budget at the White House during the Obama Administration.
