Phoenix Contact E-Mobility Inc. focuses on North American automotive OEMs
Phoenix Contact E-Mobility, located in Schieder, Germany, has created a new U.S.-based company to support the e-mobility market in North America. Phoenix Contact E-Mobility Inc., located in Ann Arbor, Mich., is a subsidiary of Phoenix Contact E-Mobility Holding SE. The new company will support the on-vehicle programs (inlets and other value-added services) for North American automotive companies that are building electric vehicles.
Vince Carioti has been named President and Managing Director of Phoenix Contact E-Mobility Inc. Before the formation of the new company, Carioti spent 27 years with an affiliate company of Phoenix Contact, which included leading the North American e-mobility business development activities as Director for the last eight years. Overall, he has 34 years of experience in the automotive industry.
“I am honored to be named to this position with Phoenix Contact. I will work hard to build the new E-Mobility company in the future,” said Carioti. “I am very bullish on this business. Phoenix Contact E-Mobility has an outstanding offering of some of the most technologically advanced vehicle inlets in the industry. I thank the leadership team for its confidence in me to lead this new venture.”
“The U.S. market is of high importance in our global strategy fostering three regions: the U.S., Europe, and China. As soon as 2035, almost one in five cars on the roads is set to be electric in the United States based on today’s energy, climate, and industrial policy settings. The roll-out of appropriate high-performance charging infrastructure will boost the acceptance of e-mobility on a broad scale, which is why an experienced management team will help us to master this critical phase of ramp-up,” summarizes Andreas Rau, CEO of Phoenix Contact E-Mobility in Germany. “With Vince Carioti, we have an excellent leader on board who has proven his profound market skills. He has an outstanding network and a deep sense of customer needs. We are looking forward to continuing a trusting collaboration in our new company!”
