Join industry leaders at the 2024 Digital Marketing Workshop where we will learn how to succeed at the intersection of marketing, culture, and artificial intelligence. This year’s event will be held on Friday, November 15 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the EMU Student Center, bringing together top experts from the Detroit Pistons, Google, Pinterest, and cutting-edge startups.

We will begin at 8:00 AM with a keynote address by Bilal Saeed, Vice President of Brand and Marketing for the Detroit Pistons. Saeed will explain how the Pistons’ marketing is driven by culture first  and how AI can enhance that direction. Following the keynote, Saeed will moderate a panel discussion, featuring his Pistons colleagues, exploring how they apply AI in content creation and targeting. Next, Jorel McCree, Lead Client Partner at Pinterest, will moderate a panel discussion on leveraging AI to drive growth in small and medium-sized companies. He will be joined by representatives from Google and local high-tech startups. The workshop will conclude with a lunch panel summarizing key takeaways and actionable strategies.

Throughout the day, attendees will gain valuable insights from industry experts on AI, creative content, and performance marketing.

As an alumnus of Eastern Michigan University, Bilal Saeed is excited to showcase the Detroit Pistons’ AI initiatives at this year’s workshop. Says Saeed, “Our approach is not solely driven by technology; we remain deeply rooted in our Detroit cultural heritage, utilizing AI to amplify our message through effective content creation and targeted outreach. I have had the privilege of participating in this conference as a panelist in the past, and I am excited to once again share insights along with my Pistons’ colleagues and other industry professionals.”

Jorel McCree, also an Eastern alumnus, is equally committed to giving back to the community. “The goal is always to give back to the community. We’ll learn from local business leaders about the keys to boosting business outcomes by leveraging AI thoughtfully, safely, and at scale to achieve meaningful results.”
