In efforts to increase the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and Submarine Industrial Base (SIB), suppliers struggle not knowing the resources available to them to help them transition in the defense and aerospace industries. What does a supplier need in their toolbox? The first series starts with the 4 steps over 4 months for suppliers interested in learning more about these industries or a fresher course for suppliers already in DIB or SIB about requirements, potential services, supplier readiness, financial assistance, grants, new business opportunities and so much more.

The Michigan Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI) is partnering with the Michigan Alliance of APEX Accelerators, Small Business Administration (SBA), Small Business Development Centers (SBDC), University of Michigan  Economy Growth institute (EGI),  Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center (MMTC), LIFT Technology,  Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and various Smart Zone Innovation Centers to host 1–2-hour educational webinars to help suppliers understand resources and requirements of Defense and Aerospace Industries to help make a smooth transition in these industries.  The webinars are virtual and free to attend!
