Liebherr-Aerospace Saline is once again expanding its industrial campus in Michigan, celebrating the groundbreaking for a new building this past June. This marks the fifth expansion for Liebherr-Aerospace Saline since 1993. The new 33,000 ft² (3,065 m²) facility will adjoin the existing heat transfer facility that commenced operations in 2016, enabling the company to meet growing demand for MRO services on a wide variety of commercial aircraft and business jets.
The expansion will support Liebherr-Aerospace Saline’s growing heat transfer aftermarket demand for testing, repair, overhaul, and re-core capacity for Liebherr products installed on Airbus, Boeing, Embraer, Mitsubishi, and Bombardier aircraft. Additionally, the new facility will accommodate the internal movement of certain other products, increasing the required landing gear processing capacity at the main facility.
