ANN ARBOR, MI (May 9, 2016) – The University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) announced the recent promotion of Tom Kuslikis to Vice President of Finance and Accounting.
Kuslikis has been with the credit union for two and a half years. In 2015, he was named “Trailblazer 40 Below” by Credit Union Times Magazine for his work as interim VP of Finance and Accounting and VP of Internal Audit and Compliance. As liaison for UCMU’s audit and examination processes, Kuslikis developed an internal audit department for the credit union.
In his new role as VP of Finance and Accounting, Kuslikis is involved in creating and implementing the direction of the credit union from managing their sizable investment portfolio to developing and analyzing UMCU’s financial statements, books, and asset liability strategy.
“As a member of our senior leadership team, Kuslikis plays a key role in the function and progress of the credit union. Kuslikis has done a great job of setting and maintaining the high standards we hold ourselves to as a financial institution as well as revamping our internal audit system and investment portfolio, making it so that we can best serve our members now and well into the future. It has been a pleasure to have him as a member of our team and I look forward to the many excited changes he has planned for the coming years as the new VP of Finance and Accounting.” – Tiffany Ford, CEO of UMCU.
