Tech Trek, one of the most anticipated events in the Ann Arbor tech scene, returns on Friday, September 27, as part of Ann Arbor SPARK’s a2Tech360 event series. This year’s Tech Trek will take over Liberty Street between 5th Avenue and South Division Street from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering a street-fair style experience where attendees can explore cutting-edge technologies, engage with innovative companies, and enjoy interactive demos. Whether you’re a job seeker, tech enthusiast, or simply curious about the latest advancements being made in the region, Tech Trek is the place to be.

Produced in partnership with the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti Local Development Finance Authority (LDFA), Tech Trek showcases nearly 60 of the region’s most innovative companies, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience emerging technologies in action. Ann Arbor SPARK is grateful for the support of our Trailblazer Sponsor, Kapnick Insurance, whose partnership helps make this innovative event possible.

This year, the power used by Tech Trek participating companies will be 100 percent electric, provided by Navitas Systems LLC, a move that aligns with Ann Arbor SPARK’s collaboration with the City of Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations on the Green Business Challenge.

Also new to Tech Trek this year is the inclusion of food vendors from Washtenaw Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center Start-Up Incubator Program. In addition to exploring the latest tech advancements, trekkers can indulge in a variety of culinary delights from local favorites Marupo’s, Blue Lemon Thai, Corned Beef Queen, and Chow Hall.

“Tech Trek is more than just a showcase of our region’s innovative tech companies; it’s a celebration of the ingenuity and creativity that keeps the Ann Arbor region at the forefront of the tech industry,” said Jenn Hayman, senior vice president of marketing, communications, and events at Ann Arbor SPARK. “As the event evolves, we’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries of innovation, making sure Tech Trek always reflects the vibrant community spirit that defines our region.”

Tech Trek is a must-attend event for job seekers, tech enthusiasts, and anyone interested in seeing the incredible technologies being developed here. In addition to demos, interactive displays, and games, job seekers can connect with hiring companies through partnerships with Amy Cell Talent and Wolverine Staffing, making the most of the networking opportunities available.

In addition to the exhibits on Liberty Street, attendees can explore stops at several key tech hubs, including Censys, Menlo Innovations, Surge Mobility, Cahoots, SkySpecs, and Bamboo. These stops offer an inside look at some of the region’s most exciting tech spaces, allowing participants to see firsthand where cutting-edge ideas are developed, play games, and meet innovators.

To cap off the day, attendees are invited to the Official Tech Trek After Party at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum.
