Meet the Panelists!

Laurel Schulert
Laurel Schulert is a Senior Director of Learning Experience at SAP, where she leads an instructional design team that supports global revenue enablement. Laurel previously taught secondary English and was an adjunct professor of English as a Foreign Language. She holds a M.S. Ed. in Learning Design and Technology from Purdue University, and a B.A. in Education from Eastern Michigan University. Laurel wrote the June 2023 TD at Work guide, “A-List L&D Team, Assemble,” earned the Master Performance Consultant certificate through ATD, and presented at the ATD International Conference & EXPO from 2022-2024 and the 2021 DevLearn conference.

Dawn Aziz
Dawn Aziz, PhD is a learning & performance veteran with more than 20 years’ experience. She specializes in providing leaders with resources, tools & support to help them reach their strategic goals and is particularly passionate about creating peoplecentered, positive organizational change and high performance. Dr. Aziz’s background includes over 12 years’ experience in higher education in which she created a leadership development model & non-credit curriculum for clients of Macomb Community College (MCC) as well as Wayne State administrators. MCC’s program remains known as the “local CCL” go-to leadership training for employees of the U.S. Army TACOM LCMC and was recognized in Chief Learning Officer magazine for its integration of assessment, learning & follow up coaching.

Anne Darnell
Anne Darnell is a Training Director at Alteris Group and a past VP of Membership for A2ATD. She is passionate about designing curriculums, learning experiences and performance support strategies that enable employee success and help companies achieve their goals. Anne holds a BS in Secondary English Education from Miami University and an MA Ed. in Training Dynamics and Leadership from UM. Her performance solutions have been implemented in manufacturing facilities, retail stores, dealerships, field organizations and corporate offices. Her work has impacted an array of learners from middle-schoolers to frontline employees and executive leaders.
