Bluebird Studios is hosting the Michigan Game Development Conference 2025 from March 28-30, 2025.

This conference is a statewide in-person and remote conference primarily for Michigan university and community college students/alumni with a 48-hour game jam, a 2-day Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Esports tournament, skills workshops, food, and more.

This event is sponsored by universities and organizations throughout the state of Michigan, all the way from the U.P. to Southeast Michigan.

Day One: Friday, March 28

  • 4:00 PM: Conference Kickoff at Ann Arbor SPARK (330 E. Liberty Street, Ann Arbor)
  • 5:45 PM: Arrive at Game Jam Site – University of Michigan, George G. Brown Laboratories Rooms 2147 & 2153
  • 6:00 PM: Start building games!
  • 6:00 PM: Workshop: Development Team Mixer
  • 7:00 PM: Workshop: Game Jam Basics
  • 8:00 PM: Dinner
  • Midnight: End of Day 1

Day Two: Saturday, March 29

  • 8:00 AM: Breakfast
