Make It in Michigan Mobility Prototyping Grant Program

We’re excited to share a new funding opportunity from Centrepolis Accelerator that’s designed specifically for startups developing hardware solutions in mobility, electrification, and autonomous systems.
The Make It in Michigan Mobility Prototyping Grant Program —powered by Michigan’s Office of Future Mobility & Electrification (OFME), the Office of Defense and Aerospace Innovation (ODAI), and Centrepolis Accelerator—offers up to $100,000 in non-dilutive funding to support prototyping, testing, and design-for-manufacturing efforts.
We’re hosting a webinar on Thursday, June 26 at 12:00 PM ET, and we’d love for you to join us. This session is a chance to:
- Learn more about the program
- Review eligibility and focus areas
- Ask questions to see if your company is a good fit
- Understand how this grant can accelerate your development timelines
Key Focus Areas:
- Autonomous Systems: Ground, air, and marine systems and enabling components (e.g. sensors, motors, lightweighting)
- Critical Mobility Components: Electrification systems and autonomous technologies that replace foreign dependencies
- Open Innovation: High-potential mobility hardware innovations that don’t fit the categories above
Eligibility Highlights:
- Michigan-based OR actively working with a Michigan partner
- TRL 4–9 stage physical product companies
- Commercial and/or defense mobility applications
