Cultivate Coffee and Tap House is playing a role in the resurgence of Ypsilanti’s Depot Town. Owner Bekah Wallace created Cultivate to be an inclusive destination where “everyone belongs.”
In her podcast with Ann Arbor SPARK’s president and CEO Paul Krutko, Wallace talks about Cultivate’s unique non-profit business model and why it’s important to her that the space is made available to the public as a meeting space. She discusses how hosting events and meetups, including those aimed at high tech business owners and talent, is integral to being part of the community. Wallace also offers insight on what it means to be a serial entrepreneur, based on her previous experience starting several businesses around Michigan.
