In 2025, the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI) marks a pair of milestones: the 60th anniversary of our founding, and the 10th anniversary of the Mcity Test Facility, now part of UMTRI. Please join us for a special symposium that will bring together experts from industry, academia, and government to explore the impact of research advances and new technologies on transportation and look ahead to where research may lead us next.
We are in the midst of a transportation revolution, driven by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence. From autonomous vehicles to intelligent traffic management systems, AI is transforming how people and goods move around the world and will be a theme throughout the symposium. You’ll also learn about the latest innovations in simulation and testing, crash and safety modeling, and more.
Invited leaders from the National Science Foundation, the U.S. Department of Transportation, the State of Michigan, industry, and academia will all be in attendance.
The cost to attend the symposium is $60. A networking reception will follow.
