Detroit Low-Key Data Meetup

Data communities around the country are gathering in new ways. In addition to conferences, groups of data professionals are gathering to do meetups.

These gatherings allow people to network, reconnect with old colleagues, and share stories from the office over tasty beverages.

The Detroit area has a diverse range of businesses. We have legacy businesses that are hundreds of years old, as well as start-ups that are just getting off the ground. Data is a crucial part of what makes these businesses work.

We believe the data community in the metro Detroit area would greatly benefit from gatherings to connect with each other. Instead of traditional meetings where people are talked at, this is an event where people can talk to each other.

 

This month, we’re partnering with a2Tech360 as an official a2Tech360 partner event. Since data and technology are so closely related, it only makes sense to align with this event that showcases the latest technological advancements and trends.

While our meetup typically occurs in Detroit, the goal is to expand engagement to Washtenaw County, so we’ll be in Ann Arbor this month.
