Happy New Year Mobile Monday Ann Arbor friends and colleagues!
We’re pleased to announce our first speaker of 2019, Keith Bourne, founder of Gradient Valley, the new Machine Learning (ML) startup here in Ann Arbor. Keith has been giving technical talks at a number of tech Meetups over the past year on how to get in to ML. We’ve asked Keith to bring it all together with strategic insights on why businesses should be interested in ML – particularly in mobile.
According to Keith, Machine Learning (ML) has been a game changer in every industry it has touched. In the next couple of years, Machine Learning will be exerting a greater and greater impact on just about every sector of business (marketing/advertising, HR, logistics, operations, healthcare, security, software development, and executive management). Because of the rapid scale-up at Google, Amazon, Microsoft, and IBM (and Gradient Valley), the cost of these efforts is coming way down, and the benefits are coming within reach of just about everybody.
That said, the train is leaving the station. You don’t want to be left behind. Particularly if your competitor is realizing the benefits of this dynamic area. Keith will address the broader context of ML in mobile where you are bringing your software into a physical world that includes phones, tablets, sensors, and all of the other data points that make Machine Learning that much more effective.
Can you expand your potential with Machine Learning?
Join us! Bring your questions for Keith. Get a couple of pieces of pizza, a drink, and enjoy.
