Pandemic Pivots: Ann Arbor Healthcare Startups Responding to COVID-19

Monday, June 29 2020 at 12:00pm - 1:00pm

In its new lunch-and-learn series, Ann Arbor SPARK is bringing together select companies that have evolved their business model in response to COVID-19.

For the second installation in this lunch-and-learn series, we welcome representatives from healthcare startups who pivoted their technology to support the pandemic. Our panel of inventors will share how they successfully shifted to making products like PPE, ventilators, germicidal light innovations, and vaccines — pivoting their startup and technology to support the healthcare challenges in Michigan.

Malcolm Kahn, President and CEO of NOTA Laboratories

Malcolm is a serial entrepreneur who enjoys the rollercoaster ride of a startup.

Daniel Siegal, co-founder and CEO at NAVV Systems

Dr. Siegal is a trained radiologist, but also a computer scientist, informationicist, and healthcare innovator. With over 15 years experience in clinical radiology and imaging informatics, he’s inspired to reimagine workflow in clinical environments and beyond.

Peter Forhan, CEO, Archimedes

With a deep foundational background in materials engineering and quantum physical interactions, Peter began light-based product development in 2019. Since then, he has worked to bring light-based skin decontamination into our normal human routines. Archimedes’ first product release, Halo, is a breakthrough device that disinfects over 99.9% of germs with zero water, zero chemicals and zero additives, proving the future is light.

Ann Arbor SPARK is proud to highlight companies who are adapting, evolving, and finding new solutions to support the community-at-large. Join us for this virtual event to learn more.
