Intvo: Strengthening Safety and Trust for Autonomous Vehicles with AI

Thursday, August 29 2019 at 5:30pm - 7:30pm

Join us at the SPARK East Innovation Center as we welcome guest speaker Assam Alzookery of Intvo, a startup located in Ann Arbor with a dedication to using artificial intelligence to improve road safety. Assam will be speaking about the company and Intvo’s goal to support Ann Arbor’s Vision Zero commitment.

He will also discuss in greater detail the launch of its pilot with the University of Michigan Transportation Research Institute (UMTRI). Within this pilot, Intvo’s software will improve accuracy and provide earlier detection and prediction of pedestrian movement in the crosswalk and broadcasts an alert about the presence of a pedestrian to any DSRC-equipped vehicle (like the ones in the UMTRI Safety Pilot and autonomous vehicles currently or operating in the future in Ann Arbor).

5:30 – 6:00 PM: Registration
6:00 – 6:30 PM: INTVO Presentation
6:30 – 6:45 PM: Q&A
6:45 – 7:30 PM: Networking

About Intvo: Intvo focuses on providing smart software solutions that use AI to observe, classify, and predict pedestrian behavior, going beyond processing physical movement vectors in space. With human factors in mind, Intvo combines advanced vision systems with a complex and robust data set to bring true understanding of human behavior to the road and solidify confidence in self-driving cars with the help of AI.

Speaker Bio: A skilled software engineer experienced in AI and Machine Learning (ML), Intvo Founder and CEO Assam Alzookery has spent several years as an automotive software engineer and has acquired substantial experience in the autonomous vehicle industry. His vision is to use AI to solve complex problems in automotive and other industries.
