A2 Mobility Tech Meetup: Welcoming Ann Arbor’s On-Demand Autonomous Shuttle!

Wednesday, September 15 2021 at 4:00pm - 5:30pm

Meet the movers and shakers who are bringing May Mobility’s on-demand autonomous shuttle service to Ann Arbor! In this virtual sneak peek before the official launch in October, we will meet the diverse team of funders and service providers that have been working together to bring this to fruition.

In a riveting discussion we will hear from representatives from May Mobility who will share their vision for this service and explain the challenges of bringing a self-driving service in a college town as vibrant as Ann Arbor. Team members from !important Safety Systems will discuss how they are deploying their pedestrian safety technology on the shuttles and share more details how such collaborative efforts can advance our Vision Zero goals. Heidi Poscher from Prentice 4M will share more on how this service fits within their vision of being an Operator of Lifestyle Assets providing flexibility and bespoke services to enhance living, working and socializing for their guests. Lastly, Greg McGuire from Mcity at the University of Michigan will explain how the new A2GO service builds on Mcity’s driverless shuttle research project, which ended in 2019. A2GO moves autonomous shuttle technology from the lab of U-M’s North Campus to the living lab that is the city of Ann Arbor, making it possible to measure real results that reflect the potential of AV services to integrate smoothly with existing public transit systems, and make transportation more accessible to more people.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to connect with the leaders who are driving Ann Arbor forward with the A2GO autonomous shuttle service!
