WCC provides a caring, open-door teaching and learning environment. The college provides excellent teaching, counseling, and support services. WCC reaches out to people who have limited income or other barriers to success. We enable people to progress in their academic and career pursuits. The college works in partnership with the local communities they serve.


Washtenaw County is located in southeast Michigan, covering an area of 720 square miles. The ETCS Michigan WORKS! Center helps employers find qualified workers, learn about customized training programs as well as opportunities for receiving training incentives. It is a multi-service agency that strives to bridge the activities between community economic development and workforce development. Michigan WORKS! does many things from offering housing assistance to helping teens find their first job. Michigan WORKS! also helps adults learn new skills or find new jobs, and work with talented senior citizens in our Foster Grandparent program. Most importantly, Michigan WORKS! strives to work collaboratively with others in the community by convening innovative and effective partnerships like the MEGA-Partnership that help more lcoal residents, neighborhoods and businesses to successfully weather difficult transitions and flourish right here in Washtenaw County.
